Title: Printing Operator

Department: Manufacturing

Position summary: Operate printing machines

Qualifications required:

  • 5 to 10 years of Rotogravure Printing Experience
  • Forklift license
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to be a valuable team leader

Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the print cylinders are properly maintained
  • Follow production flow of respective shift
  • Adjust machines as necessary
  • Perform changeovers as necessary
  • Complete all necessary production paperwork
  • Work safely and follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Monitor color matchers to ensure quality is being checked regularly; match to the right color standard and manage ink level properly
  • issue incoming material to shop orders and make transactions in our ERP/MRP system
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities

  • Report any potential food safety, quality of food defense concerns to the plant manager or quality of food defense concerns to the plant manager or quality personnel.

Title: Lamination Operator

Department: Manufacturing

Position summary: Operate laminating machines

Qualifications required:

  • 5 to 10 years experience in dry lamination using a variety of web materials
  • Experience in slitting
  • Experience using solvents
  • Good communication and organizational skills

Position summary: Operate blown film machines

Qualifications required:

  • 4+ years of blown film extrusion experience
  • Knowledge of running LDPE/LLDPE resins with IBC
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Title: Materials Manager

Department: Manufacturing

Position summary: Responsible for streamlining internal policies as well as film and resin supplier development, vendor selection, and strategic sourcing process. Work with Plant Engineers and Production management to develop specifications for needed materials. Locate vendors that can provide materials in a timely manner, with favorable terms of sale. In addition, this position is responsible for the overall operation of the Buying/Planning function.

Qualifications required:

  • 5 to 7 years of experience managing film and resin suppliers.
  • APICS Certified
  • HACCP Certified
  • Flexible film converting and food packaging experience
  • Experience with international vendors
  • Experience with freight forwarders
  • Demonstrated success with improving quality issues relating to vendors product
  • Demonstrated success in negotiating supplier contracts Bachelors’ degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or other related field required
  • 5+ years’ experience in food packaging, Manufacturing, or other related field required
  • Strategic sourcing experience with film, packaging products and other related commodities preferred
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical and communications skills

Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance of accurate inventory and adequate supply of all supplies and controlled components and raw materials to support all company operations
  • Develops raw material specifications that meets customer and internal manufacturing requirements
  • Negotiates, manages and/or maintain Supply Agreements with suppliers, customers and external contract service providers
  • Directs the development of inventory management systems to improve the existing supply chain and develop and overall inventory targets
  • Issue request for quotes to suppliers in accordance with standard purchasing terms and in-line with customer specifications / requirements
  • Interview prospective suppliers - review prices, required certifications and good manufacturing practices
  • Oversee purchasing agreements, and purchased part description in the IFS system including price, terms, lead-times, standard pack requirements, revision levels, descriptions codes and currency
  • Report any potential food safety, quality of food defense concerns to the general manager or quality personnel
  • Maintains product safety, legality, regulatory compliance and quality systems

Title: Plant Accountant

Department: Accounting

Position summary: The Plant Accountant is responsible for all plant accounting functions with a strong emphasis on costing and inventory control. The Plant Accountant position interfaces daily with the Operations Manager(s) and production staff to support continuous improvement and develop business strategy. This position will ensure that accounting controls are maintained and that the plant's financial objectives are understood by the operations staff.

Qualifications required:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Business Management and three (3) years related experience. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
  • Demonstrate intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently.

Qualifications:

  • Manufacturing cost experience (2-3 years) preferred
  • Cost analysis in a manufacturing/machining environment strongly preferred. Experience in standard cost systems strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to analyze and interpret data required
  • Familiarly with General Accounting required (A/P, Payroll, General Ledger)
  • Solid PC and mainframe software skills (MS Office, MRP, Ledger, Query) required

Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Ensure that financial reporting is accurate, timely and in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as well as in compliance with the company's accounting guidelines and procedures.
  • Responsible for accurate recording of manufacturing and overhead costs
  • Prepare and distribute periodic reports to management: scrap, inventory, production, spending, and labor utilization.
  • Payroll administration and accounts payable.
  • Preparation of monthly journal entries, month end accruals and Profit & Loss Statement (P&L) and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Work closely with the operations team, providing meaningful insight and analysis of key drivers of performance.
  • Support manufacturing with product and inventory cost creation and variance analysis, identifying negative trends and recommending the proper corrective actions.
  • Monitor the cycle count program investigating large variances and lead the year end physical.
  • Assist in the preparation of capital expenditure proposals.
  • Maintain Fixed Asset System for the location
  • Support the development of the annual budget including the plant Profit & Loss Statement (P&L) and Balance Sheet.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with Accounting, Supply Chain & Logistics, Marketing and Information Technology department personnel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Non-essential skills and experience:

  • Performs other office related tasks as needed by Chief Financial Officer
