Ohio Pack is working to attain this comprehensive certification, which combines the tenets of the Food Safety Management System (FSSC 22000, version 2018) certification and the full ISO 9001:2015 certification. We expect full certification by February 2020. When attained, we will be one of the first companies to certify under the new 2018 version.
FSSC 22000 is a food safety management certification that enables manufacturers to focus food safety efforts on scientific and technical advances, and audit resources on continuous improvement.
The ISO 9001 standard outlines quality management system requirements that are implemented to maintain consistent standards to ensure the high quality of services and/or products, and also providing visibility as it applies to risk aversion for all stakeholders.
The quality management principles addressed in the standard include:
- Customer satisfaction
- Top management commitment
- Process approach
- Continuous improvement
